Types of articles

    • In grammar: A word that comes before a noun to specify whether it is general or specific.
      • Definite article: "the" (e.g., "the house")
      • Indefinite articles: "a" or "an" (e.g., "a cat," "an activity")

In a document: A separate, numbered clause or provision within a larger document, such as a treaty, constitution, or legal agreement.As a general item: An individual object, member of a class, or commodity.Examples: "articles of clothing," "an article of food," "What is that article?"
