Makeup Brush Materials – What to Know
Brushes come in two types. Synthetic and natural. Here is what to know.
Synthetic Brushes
These are made from man-made fibers. They are soft and work well with cream products. They are also cruelty-free. Good for foundation and concealer.
Natural Brushes
These are made from animal hair. They pick up powder well. Good for eyeshadow and blush. But some people do not like using animal products.
Which to Choose?
Both are good. Choose synthetic for creams. Choose natural for powders. Or mix both. Many brands now make great synthetic brushes.
