If you can run 8-mods safely, go for it, but bricking a map or dying twice is the quickest way to ruin your profit per hour. The goal is speed and repetition. Keep moving, click altars when the pack density is there, and don't waste time full-clearing dead space. Boss is optional; I do it when I'm already in front of it and the map rolled nicely.

What makes this feel good is the steady conversion. You end up with piles of "small" currency plus stacked decks, then you sell in bulk and the divines appear almost by accident. I tracked a long session and the returns stayed surprisingly stable, with the occasional altar chain that just dumps basic currency like it's broken.
